Scarecrow walk

Between conference sessions and rain showers we went for a bike ride to see the scarecrows in front of each store.  This is a little contest the town puts on.  Last year they said 3,000 people came to see the scarecrows.  Here are some of our favorite scarecrows.

This is the FM scarecrow.

While we were looking at them, a reporter from the Carthage paper stopped us.  He was doing a piece on people's favorite Halloween costumes.  Dee offered being a hobo, which was also what I usually was, but my first Halloween costume was a Cinderella dress Mom made out of an old ruffled, yellow curtain.  The reporter, who was also on a bike and lives in Nauvoo, liked my story, so he wrote it down and took my picture.  Maybe I'll be in the local paper.
