Back to FM Grounds

No More sleeping in

Dawn from our front porch
Even though winter is still with us, there is plenty of work to do before planting begins.

Second day back at FM is snowed and iced.

Things are happening in the greenhouses.

Cutting coleus

New plants waiting for transplanting and labeling.

On Wednesday a shipment of 4,000 annuals arrived. They all needed to be transplanted to pots the next day or they would dry out and grow out of their little cells. We were all so tired at the end of the day that none of us felt like going to the square dance that night.

I've been walking home that this week and found some hope for Spring in the Women's Garden.
Doesn't look very hopeful.

But look closer.  Snow drops, first flower to come up.
